"Even as a little boy he was nosy." (The Saturday Evening Post, March 5, 1949)

George Smith cartoon: a bearded man on a small chair peers into the eyepiece of a huge telescope inside an observatory dome, while two visitors, one with a cane, stand in a doorway behind him.

Some habits just grow up with you. In this George Smith gag from the March 5, 1949 Saturday Evening Post, a bearded astronomer perched on a chair squints into the eyepiece of a giant observatory telescope, while two visitors in the doorway, one leaning on a cane, look on and explain.
